Oriana comes from the Latin aurum — gold. It arrived in Italy in the fifteenth century through chivalric literature: the name given to the beloved, the woman the knight carried with him even when she wasn't there.
I started Flarelle because I wanted shoes that felt like Italy — the color, the light, the quality — without the luxury price tag. Oriana was my answer to that question in leather form. Full calfskin, inside and out, made in Tuscany, part of our Fall/Winter collection. It softens with every wearing until it feels like it was made for your foot specifically. The 1.5 cm heel is barely there — just enough to change how you stand.
