Foschetta comes from fosco, Italian for dim or hazy, from the Latin fuscus. The same root gives foschia, the light haze that settles over Tuscan valleys early in the morning, before the day has properly begun.
Autumn and winter wardrobes tend to go dark without anyone really deciding it: navy, charcoal, black, more black. Foschetta in ivory suede is a quiet way out of that. Winter light, rather than winter shadow.
